The TRAIL summer workshops, initiated by the TRAIL Institute, aim at establishing a tradition of collaborative R&D work by gathering, in a single place, a group of senior project leaders, researchers and students, working together for 2 weeks on a pre-specified list of AI challenges. Participants are organized in teams, attached to specific projects related to artificial intelligence, and work on open-source software to be included in the TRAIL Factory.
TRAIL is the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, created in 2019 by five renowned universities (UCLouvain, ULB, ULiege, UMons, and UNamur) and four prominent research centers (Multitel, Cetic, Sirris, Cenaero) in Belgium, gathering 500+ researchers in AI.
The launch of the TRAIL Workshop Paris 2021 takes place on August 30 in Louvain-la-Neuve, but also online from 9h to 12h30.
During this opening, the Accredited Research Centers will present the 8 Great Challenges of TRAIL which will accompany and stimulate the brain of our researchers for two weeks.
On September 9th Faiez Zalila, senior research engineer at CETIC, will initiate TRAIL researchers on the software tools used to publish sofwtare components on the TRAIL Factory.
