Christophe Ponsard, Jean-Christophe Deprez, Helping SMEs to Better Develop Software : Experience Report and Challenges Ahead, 40th International Conference on Software Engineering, Software Engineering in Practice Track, Gothenburg, Sweden, May 27 - 3 June 2018 (accepted)
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a key role in the worldwide economy and are increasingly dependent on software as part of their products/services or to support their operation (e.g. ecommerce, smart manufacturing). Over the past 15 years, as research and tech transfer centre, we at CETIC have been busy with helping Belgian SMEs to increase their maturity in software development. We have also contributed specific methods and tools for the SME target including ISO29110 standard.
