The aim of the PRIMa-Q project is to propose a set of tools for a quantitative management of risks related to project management in small and medium enterprises. In order to learn about the current practices and needs, an online survey is now available.
The goal of this survey is to collect information about risk management in small and medium enterprises which often lack the required resources (staff, tools) for accomplishing their projects, leading to bigger weaknesses in case of materialization of an unanticipated risk.
If you are part of a SME, we would like to know the characteristics of risk management that you consider as the most important, and how do you handle the risks in general. The collected information will complete the preparatory work for the development of a framework and the implementation of a pre-competitive tool to the quantitative management of risks related to projects in small and medium enterprises. Thus, the collected data will have a direct influence in the quality and performance of the future tools.
Any kind of enterprise is welcome. Even though the project focus on SMEs, people
from larger enterprises can also answer the survey. The project will address specifically the enterprises working on mechanical engineering and IT, the latest especially in Wallonia.
The survey consists of six pages and 34 questions, with four principal subjects about the type of the enterprise, risk management, the requirements for a dedicated risk management tool, and some personal characteristics. You will need between 15 and 20 minutes to complete the survey.
This blog article will be updated at the fall 2017 with the consolidated results of this survey, which is conducted simultaneously in Wallonia and Germany. Feel free to contact us if you have questions about the project or this survey.
