Leandro Collier

Leandro Collier graduated with a Civil engineer degree in Computer Science and Management, with Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support specialization, from the Polytechnic Faculty of Mons in 2022. During his studies, he completed various projects, such as stock management and prediction for Johnson & Johnson.

Afterwards, he completed an internship at Engie Impact, where he worked on a linear optimization project to find a more efficient method for solving the complex problem of economic redispatching in the European power grid.

As part of engineer’s thesis, Leandro interned at GSK, where he focused on artificial intelligence methods to reduce traffic between company sites. He explored approaches such as Federated Learning and various model and data distillation methods.

In September 2022, Leandro joined the Data Science department at CETIC as a research engineer.

Passionate about computer science, he is also involved as an organizer in the Google Developer Groups of Mons, where he shares the latest technological advancements and innovations with the IT community.
