The Haute École Provinciale de Hainaut - Condorcet offers a variety of study programs, including Agronomy, Economics, Education, Paramedical, Computer Science, etc. Its Applied Research Service (ARS) supports teacher-researchers in applied research and fosters partnerships with the CARAH asbl and other institutions and businesses.
Collaborations: R&D&I Partner ⊕
The Haute École provinciale de Hainaut - Condorcet,
through its 10 departments spread across 10 locations, offers over 90 study programs, including both short and long courses, throughout the Hainaut region.
In the field of water, HEPH-Condorcet plays an active role through research activities conducted by its Laboratory of Biotechnology and Applied Biology. This close collaboration extends to the Associated Research Center (CARAH asbl) as well as to the laboratories of Hainaut-Analyses. The laboratory's research and community service projects focus on four main thematic areas: phytopathology, environmental genetic analysis (including water matrix), method development, and varietal genetic analysis. The laboratory's expertise covers microbiology, bioinformatics, and applied molecular biology, including PCR, real-time PCR (qPCR), sequencing, and high-throughput sequencing.
In collaboration with CARAH and Hainaut-Analyses, the laboratory has long-standing expertise in the microbiological analysis of water using traditional methods. Concurrently, the laboratory has developed advanced skills and tools for the preparation and molecular biology analysis of specific microorganisms and microbial populations from water sources.
The laboratory has participated in water research projects such as AQUAQUAL and AQUAPROVI, projects funded by the CWality program of the RW.
