The DIGITRANS project is an exploration of technologies for the development of new solutions enabling infrastructure managers and railway operators to increase the availability of infrastructure and the quality of service to the user.
These activities include the development of a highly distributed ground architecture of connected intelligent objects. It integrates a new concept of remote updating of embedded software and configuration parameters.
These new developments will accelerate the migration of national systems to the ERTMS interoperable standard. It will secure, or even increase, the market shares accessible to the Walloon rail industry.
