Data Science
Dr. Christian Colot is a senior researcher in data science at CETIC. He holds Master’s degrees in Management (UCLouvain), Statistics (UCLouvain), and Information Systems (University of Lille), as well as a PhD in Management Sciences (UNamur). This academic background was complemented by a two-year postdoctoral experience (UNamur and University of Luxembourg). He also has over 10 years of professional experience as a data science expert in the banking and consulting world.
His research interests focus on decision making based on big data, business uses of data science, sustainable finance, and natural language processing. He is a prolific author of research publications and a regular speaker at international conferences, seeking to combine his academic and professional knowledge to bridge the gap between the academic and business worlds.
In addition to his activities at CETIC, he is also a guest professor at the University of Namur, where he teaches an introductory course in data science.
